“The problem with allowing laws that are based on beliefs is that one day they may not be based on your beliefs.

We’d all be better off basing laws off nothing. If there is any law that presupposes some  kind of moral standard or some belief about whether or not God exists, or whether or not humanity has purpose, we should cross it out. Laws should be worldview-neutral!

Hmmm. I don’t think you understand the concept of ‘separation of church and state’.

Everybody has a worldview. Every sentence of legislation presupposes some worldview and some moral standard.
